Reporting to the Community Cultural Centre Manager the Maintenance Service Worker I will perform regular maintenance and custodial duties required in the day to day operations of the Community Cultural Centre including but not limited to:
General building maintenance and labour duties;
Minor troubleshooting and reporting of building repairs;
Operating facility and custodial equipment (Floor machines, remote screens, partition walls and security system, etc.);
Assist with facility operations and access through set-up and take-down for events, facility user assistance, snow removal from entrances;
Accurately complete shift reports identifying relevant issues.
REQUIREMENTS:
WHMIS, First Aid/CPR considered an asset;
Custodial and or building operation experience is an asset;
Physical ability and dexterity to perform a variety of manual tasks (Set-up tables/ chairs, stage props, and all custodial duties, etc.);
In accordance with Town policy, the successful candidate will be required to provide a Criminal Records Check.
This position is included within the scope of the Town’s unionized setting (CUPE Local 2426) and is based on a 40 hour work week rotational shift schedule, including evenings and weekends with a starting wage rate of $16.22 per hour.
