This Dryland Program Leader 1 provides direct program support to the GH Dawe Centre’s activities and events, focusing on gymnasium supervision and sport programming.

The City of Red Deer is currently seeking the right person to fill the casual position of Dryland Program Leader I. This position provides direct program support to the GH Dawe Centre’s activities and events, focusing on gymnasium supervision and sport programming.

As our preferred candidate you will have:

  • NCCP Level 1 Theory Certification or one year experience in a recreation/leisure environment providing program support 
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Standard First Aid
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of verbal, written, and listening skills.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Possession of a valid Alberta Driver’s License.
  • Commitment to the City’s Cornerstone Values.
  • Ability to do minor lifting.
  • Ability to work in noisy conditions.
  • Ability to work in stressful conditions and deal with conflict situations.
