The Alberta Municipal Compensation Survey is Back

The AAMDC in cooperation with AUMA/AMSC is pleased to again offer the Alberta Municipal Compensation Survey. This joint initiative between the two municipal associations offers survey participants with the broadest range of information possible. This tool surveys compensation, benefits, and working conditions for both municipal staff and municipal elected officials.

Banister Research & Consulting Inc. has again been retained to administer the 2012 Alberta Municipal Compensation Survey. Starting the week of June 11, Banister will email letters of invitation to all CAOs inviting each municipality to participate in the survey.

Participation is completely voluntary and information will be held in strictest confidence. Information collected for this survey is done in compliance with the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Your results will only be reported in aggregate form to eliminate the recognition of individual responses.

Please note that results are only available to survey participants; therefore, information must be provided to be received.

Within the contract, all standard summary reports are available for free to AAMDC full members. Should you want information beyond the standard summary reports, you also have the option of requesting one (1) customized report which will compare your municipality to between 8 and 10 other participating municipalities at no cost.  Any additional reports must be ordered through Banister and there will be a charge.

  • To complete the survey, you will be required to enter a unique ID to access the survey, provided by Banister within the CAO letter. Using the same ID, you will able to exit and re-enter the survey if you choose to do so.

All submissions must be completed electronically in the required format. The deadline for survey submissions is August 31, 2012. Should you miss the submission deadline of August 31, reports will only be run once a month thereafter.
