The AAMDC, in partnership with the Society of Local Government Managers (SLGM) created an award program to recognize excellence in rural administration. The award is presented no more than once a year to a clearly deserving candidate. Nominations are endorsed by a peer review committee established by the AAMDC and SLGM.
